2016 OG Glue
2016 OG Glue
Also known as: 2016 OG Glue Blueberry Pheno
Overview
2016 OG Glue is a hybrid cannabis strain created by Odyssey Genetics, a breeder established in 2015 by a second-generation cannabis cultivator and medical patient. This strain is a cross between GG#2016 (a phenotype of the famous GG#4/Gorilla Glue lineage) and Griff's OG, combining the legendary adhesive properties of the Glue family with the classic characteristics of OG genetics. The strain can be cultivated indoors, outdoors, and in greenhouse environments with a relatively quick flowering time of approximately 55 days. Two notable females were selected by the breeder in 2017 that produced impressive yields described as 'huge spears of swollen glue covered in frost.' When grown outdoors, plants demonstrated moderate mold resistance even when grown against greenhouse walls. The strain exhibits notable phenotypic variation, with some selections displaying purple calyxes that fade to dark green during drying. The aroma profile is complex, combining the signature GG#4 scent with bright citrus notes, described as smelling like 'GG#4 and lemons.' A special blueberry phenotype selected in 2020 offers unique aromatic qualities, initially smelling like 'straw-apple sour belts' at harvest before developing rich 'blueberry muffin' aromas after curing.

Growing Information
2016 OG Glue is suitable for indoor, outdoor, and greenhouse cultivation with a flowering time of approximately 55 days (7-8 weeks). The strain was never available as feminized seeds and requires regular seed cultivation. Growers can expect impressive yields, with selected phenotypes producing 'huge spears of swollen glue covered in frost.' The strain shows moderate mold resistance when grown outdoors, even in challenging conditions such as against greenhouse walls. Plants display a uniform structure with moderate leaf production, making them relatively manageable for cultivation. The strain exhibits good phenotypic stability while still offering interesting variations between different selections.
