The 22 strain, also known as 'Double-Deuce,' is a sativa-dominant hybrid originally bred by The Cali Connection as a cross between OG Kush and Jack Herer. This variety is composed of approximately 70% sativa and 30% indica genetics. 22 was discovered in a very special batch of OG Jack Herer cross, selected specifically for its high terpene profile and unique characteristics.
The strain is distinguished by its diamond and tree-shaped buds with forest-green leaves packed tightly together, featuring fuzzy gold trichomes and frayed, confetti-like pistils that give the buds a lime-green appearance. The aroma is rich with kush spices, lime-citrus, and sage notes, while combustion releases clear sage and citrus flavors with a peppery aftertaste. The strain produces stunning amounts of resin, with trichome coverage extending even over the secondary leaves. This strain offers unusually fast flowering for a pure sativa, making it ideal for growers needing a massive harvest in just 9 weeks. Indoor yields can reach 400-450g/m² (up to 400g/m²), while outdoor plants can produce approximately 400 grams per plant. When grown indoors, plants typically reach heights of 30-60 inches (76-152 cm), making them manageable for smaller grow spaces. Outdoors, plants can grow 60-80 inches tall and thrive in Mediterranean-like climates with lots of sunshine and moderate humidity. Due to sativa genetics, plants can grow large and benefit from 1-2 weeks of vegetation time, making them perfect candidates for SCROG setups. Humidity levels should be kept under 70% to avoid mold or bud rot.
