Overview
AK Automatic is an autoflowering version of the legendary AK-47 strain that inherited traits from grandparent landrace strains Colombian, Mexican, Thai, and Afghan. The addition of autoflower genetics from a high-performing ruderalis strain introduced rapid growing times into the equation, with the strain possessing a genetic split of 40% indica, 35% sativa, and 25% ruderalis. This hybrid maintains the complex lineage of its photoperiod parent while adding ruderalis genetics, meaning once the cannabis seeds are germinated and planted, growers don't have to worry about changing the length of daylight as they will switch from the vegetative stage to the flowering stage automatically.
AK Automatic produces dense, big, bright green flowers with swollen calyxes and fiery orange pistils. The dank aroma is almost impossible to hide when you crack open curing jars, filling the room with a sugary sweet smell laced with earthy and somewhat tangy undertones reminiscent of the sour notes of the original AK-47. Plants reach a final height of 75-100 cm and are quite strong smelling with full big buds covered in crystals and a sweetish, fruity, bit lemony and a bit spicy odour. The strain is strong in effect with THC only and no CBD. This strain completes its full life cycle in 9-11 weeks from seed to harvest, making it a fast and efficient choice for growers with a balanced high that is uplifting, happy, focused, and relaxed.

AK Automatic is considered easy to grow even for first-time cultivators. Growing indoors, you can expect the strain to harvest after a short flowering period of 55-65 days, while outdoors it should be harvest-ready sometime in October. Indoor yields are around 400 grams per square meter, while outdoor grows typically produce up to 360 grams per plant. Plants can be harvested after a total growing time of 11-12 weeks, with indoor specimens producing up to 350g/m² and outdoor plants yielding 110-160g per plant according to some sources, though other sources report higher yields up to 17 ounces per meter square indoors and 24 ounces per plant outdoors. The strain flowers automatically after 3-4 weeks without needing a change in light cycle, and grows best in warm environments with its autoflowering characteristics making it suitable for shorter growing seasons. The plant requires lots of ventilation and lower humidity than many other strains because of its dense buds making it susceptible to bud rot, with optimum humidity levels between 65-70% during vegetative growth and 40-45% when flowering, or as low as 30-35% humidity if temperature is kept around 70°F while flowering.
