Alegria
Alegria
Overview
Alegria was discovered during a trip to Spain in 2003, when a breeder obtained seeds from unique Spanish strains and later crossed them with one of their finest Indica varieties to create this hybrid. The strain's name means "joy" in Spanish, which perfectly describes its uplifting effects, and it is said to be of Spanish descent though its exact lineage remains unknown. Alegria is sought after by users and breeders for its highly medicinal CBD content ranging from 5-10% paired with a mellow THC level of 4-8%, though some sources report higher THC levels of 11-15%.
The buds display lumpy spade-shaped minty green nugs with long thin orange hairs and a coating of tiny dusty amber crystal trichomes. Plants develop very wide, dark green leaves and grow in a classic Christmas tree structure, reaching heights of 50-100cm. The strain offers a sweet spicy herbal flavor with mild fruity herbal coffee aromas, and is noted for its sublime taste unlike anything previously encountered.

Growing Information
Alegria can be grown in both hot and cold climates due to its quick flowering phase, which lasts around 60-70 days. Indoor yields should be expected at 400-500g/m². Plants grow like a Christmas tree, reaching around 1m indoors and are resistant to bad weather conditions, suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation in warm and cold climates. Plants generally finish flowering in 8-9 weeks with no height issues, rarely finishing above 100cm tall. The strain is considered relatively easy to grow and is productive with flexible branches and average internodal distances.
