Alien Mints
Alien Mints
Also known as: Alien Mintz
Overview
Alien Mints is an evenly balanced hybrid strain (50% indica/50% sativa) created by Alien Labs in collaboration with Seed Junky Genetics, stemming from an Animal Mints backcross. There are multiple versions with different lineages, with some sources indicating crosses between Alien OG and Girl Scout Cookies, while others reference various Alien lineage crosses with Mints lines such as Kush Mints or Animal Mints. The strain was created by Alien Labs, founded in Sacramento, California in 2014 by grower and breeder Ted Lidie, in collaboration with Seed Junky Genetics.
Alien Mints buds have long and conical dark olive green nugs with lots of thin orange hairs, deep amber undertones and a frosty coating of tiny, milky purple-tinted white crystal trichomes. This bud has a sweet and minty nutty cookie flavor with hints of rich chocolate and sugary apricots, while the aroma combines upfront notes of earth with fresh mint that intensifies when ground, releasing dark chocolate, spearmint, and sage overtones. The strain has gained recognition as a premium cultivar known for its exceptional potency, complex terpene profile, and balanced effects that appeal to both recreational and medicinal users seeking a sophisticated cannabis experience.

Growing Information
Alien Mints has a flowering period of approximately 8 weeks, which is relatively short compared to other strains. The strain prefers a warm, humid climate with consistent temperatures between 70-80°F and requires well-ventilated space to prevent mold and mildew, preferring nutrient-rich, well-draining soil. Indoor plants typically remain small (0-4 feet), while outdoor plants can reach medium size (5-8 feet). When grown outdoors, it's usually ready for harvest around October, with indoor yields being moderate and outdoor yields moderate to high under optimal conditions. The strain benefits from pruning and training techniques like topping, FIMing, LST, and ScrOG method for optimal growth and yield maximization. Growing Alien Mints can require moderate experience and is sensitive to moisture.
