Amherst Sour Diesel x Somango is a limited edition cannabis strain developed by Philosopher Seeds, combining genetics from two internationally recognized lines known for their intense terpene profiles and balanced effects. The female parent, Amherst Sour Diesel, is an 80% sativa-dominant hybrid originally from Massachusetts, created by crossing pre-90's Chemdog with Amherst Super Skunk (Skunk #1 x Afghanistan). The male parent, Somango, is a 75% indica-dominant strain developed by crossing Jack Herer, Super Skunk, and Big Skunk Korean, previously known as Soma #5 before being renamed for its tropical mango aroma.

This hybrid represents Philosopher Seeds' effort to reinforce the structure and productivity of Sour Diesel while incorporating Somango's fruity characteristics and more physical effects. The resulting strain exhibits vigorous, branchy growth with thick central colas surrounded by multiple secondary branches. Plants can reach up to 3 meters in height when grown outdoors in optimal conditions, displaying robust sativa structure with leafy growth patterns.
