A.M.S.
A.M.S.
Also known as: Anti Mold Strain, AMS
Overview
A.M.S., which stands for Anti Mold Strain, is an indica-dominant hybrid (60% indica/40% sativa) developed by Green House Seeds through crossing Swiss Sativa and Swiss Indica genetics. The strain earned its name for its exceptional resistance to mold, fungus, and pests, making it ideal for cultivation in humid environments. Originally cultivated in the Swiss Alps region, A.M.S. was created from extremely rare Swiss parent strains that were gifted to breeder Arjan, resulting in a hardy plant engineered for resilience. The name also pays homage to Amsterdam's airport code (AMS). This medium-sized plant develops compact, resinous buds covered in thick, chunky white trichomes with sweet, sticky resin. The flowers are dense and exhibit a beautiful darker-green hue compared to many other strains, with long, twisty orange hairs. A.M.S. is known for producing both indica-dominant and sativa-dominant phenotypes, though growers typically prefer the indica-leaning plants for their superior yields and robust Christmas tree structure.

Growing Information
A.M.S. is a moderately easy strain to grow, suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation. Indoor flowering time is 8-9 weeks, with commercial growers typically harvesting at 8 weeks, though 9 weeks delivers maximum resin production. Indoor yields reach 500-700g/m². Outdoor cultivation is ready by late September to early October with yields up to 800g per plant. The plant grows tall with excellent mold and pest resistance, making it ideal for humid climates and stealth growing due to its natural camouflage qualities. It requires substantial nutrients and responds well to training techniques like SCRoG. The strain can tolerate various growing conditions and is considered beginner-friendly despite needing attention during its vigorous growth phases.
