Apex Kush
Apex Kush
Also known as: Apex
Overview
Apex Kush is a heavily indica-dominant hybrid strain (90% indica/10% sativa) developed by 303 Seeds and bred at high altitude in the Colorado mountains above 14,000 feet. This strain is built around a legendary Florida OG Triangle Kush cut from the 1990s, crossed with Pure Kush and Uzbekistan Hashplant genetics to improve vigor and structural integrity. The breeder specifically aimed to address the Triangle Kush's temperamental feeding requirements and need for support by introducing the robust Pure Kush/Uzbekistan Hashplant genetics. The result is a more resilient plant with enhanced yields while maintaining the coveted Florida OG characteristics. Apex Kush features oversized, chunky, popcorn-shaped buds with a minty green coloration, thick dark orange hairs, and a heavy coating of frosty white trichomes. The strain produces a complex aromatic profile combining spicy coffee, chocolate, and kush scents when broken apart, with additional notes of pine-sol, hashy chocolate coffee, and light fruit accents. Its flavor profile is distinctively sweet and fruity with a spicy chocolate exhale that lingers after consumption.

Growing Information
Apex Kush is considered moderately difficult to grow, requiring some experience. The strain has an indoor flowering time of 9-11 weeks (63-77 days) and approximately 70 days for outdoor cultivation. It can be grown both indoors and outdoors, though it's noted as a low-yield plant despite producing oversized buds. Indoor yields are modest, making it less suitable for commercial operations focused on quantity. The strain benefits from support structures due to its heavy bud production and requires careful nutrient management. Plants typically reach 30-60 inches in height indoors. The strain was specifically bred to be more resilient than its Triangle Kush parent, with improved structural integrity and tolerance to different feeding regimens.
