Astur Mexica
Astur Mexica
Also known as: Astur Méxica, AsturMexica
Overview
Astur Mexica is a pure sativa strain developed by Spanish breeder Asturjaya, originating from genetics from the East side of the Mexican Sierra Madre. Grown each year at a record altitude of 1750mt above sea level, this landrace-derived strain has been worked with for years by Asturjaya to maintain their purest and more stable lines. The strain represents a careful preservation of Mexican mountain genetics, with the introduction of other Mexican subtleties in the original Astur-Mexica crossing to find that psychedelic effect so sought in the 60's and 70's. Astur Mexica buds have airy oversized flat bright neon green nugs with golden amber undertones, thin amber hairs and a coating of tiny frosty white crystal trichomes. This genetics tends to be medium-large, but compact and very productive, being a very competitive plant in all aspects for its own bouquet in aroma, taste in combustion, its considerable production and its powerful and intoxicating effect.

Growing Information
Astur Mexica is suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation, though it performs exceptionally well outdoors. Average height reaches 1.80 meters with compact and powerful tight buds. Outdoor production yields 350-500 grams with flowering time in mid to late September. The strain is very consistent and able to give high yields. Asturjaya strains are characterized by fortaleza and rapid growth and flowering, with high resistance to pests and diseases and very short flowering periods. The harsh Asturian growing conditions have selected for the strongest and fastest parentals. Under certain conditions or milder climates, these plants can become monsters of 2 to 3 meters when grown outdoors.
