Auto Blues

Auto Blues is a project to put our favourite ever strain, 'The Blues' into Auto format. Developed by Mephisto Genetics, this strain is an original auto strain developed using our favourite photoperiod of all time, 'The Blues' an elite clone only variety from the North of the UK that has been around since the early 90's, akin to the Exodus Cheese. We were lucky enough to get our hands on a cutting of 'The Blues', a sister cutting of 'The Livers', way back before the farm was even a distant dream. Our first autoflower cross of this cutting, some 4 generations later, became Auto Blues.

The strain is the result of crossing between U.K Blues Cut and purple indica auto, specifically noted as U.K Blues Cut x purple indica auto - F4. The F3's displayed frequent purple phenotypes, we have chosen to mostly breed to the Green Phenotypes as they more closely match the mother Photoperiod. She has tight internodes, and can form long colas. The effect is powerful and the aroma is fruity and pungent, make sure you have odor control in good order before attempting this strain.

Auto Blues is a compact plant, she's great for growing Sea-of-Green Style. 50-70 cm is an average height and she stays stocky but branchy when given space. When the Blues is flowered, it is intensely smelly, but with a fruity edge as opposed to cheesy. The strain has been noted as discontinued by some seed banks, though it continues to be referenced as the foundation for many other Mephisto varieties including Auto Livers and more recent developments.
