AutoDurban Poison is an autoflowering sativa-dominant strain created by crossing the legendary Durban Poison landrace with ruderalis genetics to create an automatic flowering version. Developed by Dutch Passion, this strain maintains the signature characteristics of its photoperiod parent while offering the convenience of autoflowering genetics. The original Durban Poison traces its roots to South Africa's port city of Durban, where it was cultivated as a pure sativa landrace before being brought to Amsterdam in the 1970s by cannabis pioneers like Ed Rosenthal and Mel Frank.

AutoDurban Poison exhibits the classic sativa structure with tall, vigorous growth despite being an autoflower. Plants typically reach heights of 80-100cm and feature dense, light green buds covered in a thick coating of milky white trichomes. The strain maintains the extended vegetative phase characteristic compared to other autoflowers, allowing for greater height development before flowering begins. The buds display the signature Durban aroma with sweet, earthy, and spicy notes reminiscent of licorice, pine, and citrus undertones.

This variety completes its full life cycle from seed to harvest in just 10-11 weeks, making it exceptionally fast for a sativa-dominant strain. Indoor yields average 75-100g per plant, while outdoor cultivation can produce 100-400g per plant under optimal conditions.
