Ayahuasca Purple
Ayahuasca Purple
Also known as: Ayahuasca Purple Haze, Purple Ayahuasca
Overview
Ayahuasca Purple is a 100% pure indica strain developed by Barney's Farm through crossing Master Kush and Red River Delta. Originally bred from Red River Delta seeds gifted to Barney's Farm years ago, the strain was created when growers discovered the striking purple and ruby red coloration of the Red River Delta plants, which they then crossed with the renowned Master Kush to create this hybrid. The name 'Ayahuasca' references the psychedelic brew from South America, chosen to reflect the strain's reported ability to induce altered states of consciousness and vivid, psychedelic-like experiences. This indica-dominant strain is characterized by its deeply purple and green buds with bright orange hairs and dense trichome coverage. Plants develop a short, heavyset structure with wide fan leaves and colossal dense buds that require support during the final week of flowering. The strain is known for its unique aromatic profile featuring distinct notes of hazelnut, papaya, mango, and lavender, creating a complex tropical and nutty fragrance that sets it apart from other purple strains.

Growing Information
Ayahuasca Purple is considered medium difficulty to grow and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation. Indoor plants reach heights of 90-110cm with flowering times of 55-65 days. Expected yields are impressive at 500-650g/m² indoors. The strain develops wide fan leaves and dense, heavy buds that require structural support in the final week of flowering to prevent branch breakage. Plants are sensitive to overfeeding, so nutrients should be used at half strength. The strain thrives in consistent humidity of at least 60% and produces exceptionally hardy plants with high trichome production. Outdoor plants can reach up to 180cm and ripen in the third to fourth week of September.
