Azure Haze is an indica-dominant hybrid cannabis strain created by JD Short, son of legendary breeder DJ Short, from Old World Genetics. This strain is a cross between Blueberry F4 and Super Silver Haze, making it similar but distinct from Blue Dream, which uses an F5 generation Blueberry male. Azure Haze is one generation closer to the P1 landrace ancestry than Blue Dream, creating a unique phenotype with its own characteristics. Azure Haze presents a fruity palette of terpenes and an upbeat, long-lasting high that slowly gives way to deep, dreamy relaxation. The strain grows with dense spear-like buds to a medium to tall height, producing compact, resinous flowers typical of high-quality hybrid genetics. This indica-dominant strain is known for its sweet fruit and citrus notes, with berry and evergreen undertones. Growing Information
Azure Haze can be grown indoors or outdoors and is easy to grow, similar to Blue Dream. The plants can grow in any medium from hydro to soil. Flowering time is average ten weeks (9-10 weeks), with usually a higher yield than normal. The yield varies from 400-900 grams per plant on average, growing to a height of four to five feet or 1-2 meters tall. When growing outdoors, plants are usually ready around the middle of October for the Northern hemisphere. Hydroponic methods provide the most yield, but soil growing provides the best flavor. Be aware of damp climates as Azure Haze is susceptible to mold and red spider mites like Blue Dream. Grow difficulty is moderate with an indoor yield up to 550g and outdoor yield up to 300g.
