Bacio Gelato
Bacio Gelato
Also known as: Gelato #41, Bacio
Overview
Bacio Gelato, also known as Gelato #41, is an evenly balanced hybrid strain (50% indica/50% sativa) created through crossing Sunset Sherbert and Thin Mint GSC. Developed by Mario Guzman, founder of Sherbinskis, and bred in San Francisco, this strain is the most popular member of the almighty Gelato line and one of the most potent strains in the Gelato lineup.
The strain exhibits dense, dark nuggets with a beautiful palette of bright and dark greens, deep purples, and orange. The buds feature small thick spade-shaped olive green nugs with dark purple undertones, vivid orange hairs and a coating of purple-tinted white crystal trichomes. Their dense coating of oily trichomes can make Bacio Gelato flowers look almost wet, contributing to exceptional bag appeal.
Bacio Gelato inherits exceptional qualities from both parent strains. Thin Mint GSC serves up pleasant, full-bodied highs accompanied by powerful cerebral effects and waves of euphoria, while Sunset Sherbert lives up to its name by being calming, pleasant, and sweet. The strain's name derives from the Italian word 'bacio' meaning kiss, providing those lucky enough to find it, with a kiss of sweetness.

Growing Information
Bacio Gelato is challenging to grow, requiring high-intensity light and low humidity conditions, which can be hard to maintain. The strain is susceptible to fungi and overwatering and requires humidity to be kept below 60% with high light. Flowering time is around eight to nine weeks when grown indoors or mid-October if grown outdoors. Indoor yields can reach 16 to 21 ounces per square yard, while outdoor plants can produce up to 6.5 pounds per plant under optimal conditions. The plant grows relatively small, making it ideal for indoor growth but can reach impressive heights outdoors. Moderate cultivation difficulty, suitable for experienced growers, preferring Mediterranean climate conditions.
