Baharak is a landrace named after the Baharak area (at the foot of the Hindu Kush Mountains), where it has been used successfully for the production of hashish for many years. Baharak, translating to "home of springs," proves to be an idyllic setting for such a distinguished strain. The strain was developed by Afghan Selection around the manufacturer Baaba Qo, the enterprise of two local aficionados with an experience for over fifty years now.
