Big Papaya
Big Papaya
Overview
Big Papaya is an indica-dominant hybrid strain created by Microgenetica through crossing Grapefruit with Micro Giant. This unique genetic combination results in a strain that is 75% indica, 10% sativa, and 15% ruderalis. The strain was selected by a rapper named Gast and represents an interesting fusion of citrus genetics from the Grapefruit parent (which traces back to Cinderella 99 and Thai sativa) with the autoflowering characteristics of Micro Giant (an AK-47 and ruderalis cross). Big Papaya produces oversized, dense bright neon green nugs adorned with deep red-orange hairs and a coating of tiny clear crystal trichomes. Despite its name suggesting papaya flavors, the strain's genetics are more rooted in citrus and earthy profiles. The strain offers a moderate THC content making it accessible to both novice and experienced users, while providing the relaxing effects typical of indica-dominant varieties without overwhelming sedation.

Growing Information
Big Papaya can be cultivated both indoors and outdoors with a relatively short flowering time of approximately 55 days (7-8 weeks). The strain shows autoflowering characteristics inherited from its Micro Giant parent, making it suitable for novice growers. Plants tend to stay compact due to the ruderalis genetics, producing dense, resinous buds. The strain demonstrates good resilience and is considered relatively easy to grow. Indoor cultivation is preferred for better environmental control, though outdoor growing is possible in suitable climates. The autoflowering nature means it doesn't require specific light schedules to trigger flowering.
