Overview
Black Jack is an indica-dominant hybrid cannabis strain created through the crossbreeding of Black Domina and Jack Herer genetics. Bred by Sweet Seeds, Black Jack is a cross of Black Domina and Jack Herer, though there is also a similar variant created by Nirvana Seeds using Black Domina and their proprietary Jack Horror strain. The strain exhibits typical cannabis ratios of 70% Cannabis indica and 30% Cannabis sativa genetics, resulting in a well-balanced hybrid experience.
The strain is characterized by its thick buds with huge calyxes that are completely encrusted with trichomes. The nugs of the Sweet Seeds variety are larger and denser, sometimes with a purple tint to the leaves. Plants typically grow to medium height indoors but can reach impressive sizes outdoors, with about three meters of height when planted outdoors, directly in the ground and with enough sunlight. Black Jack has gained recognition as one of the most potent and productive strains in the cannabis community, earning multiple awards and widespread cultivation by both commercial and home growers.

Black Jack is considered moderately easy to grow and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation. Sweet Seeds' Black Jack flowers in just eight to nine weeks indoors, with some phenotypes taking up to 10 weeks. Indoor growers can expect around 500–600g/m² of Black Jack buds, while outdoors, this plant develops 500–700g/plant. The strain prefers temperatures between 70 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit (21 to 29 degrees Celsius) and requires humidity levels between 50% to 70% during the vegetative stage, reduced to about 30%-40% during flowering to prevent mold. Plants can grow quite tall, reaching 30''-60'' in stature in both inside and outside conditions, though outdoor plants can become significantly larger. She's slightly finicky and needs lots of magnesium, but other than that she's easy to grow.
