This exclusive cultivar was developed by crossing Monster Mash with Z&Z (also known as ZZ), resulting in a unique strain that combines the best traits of both parent genetics. Only 200 packs of 5 feminized seeds were ever produced, making Black ZZ an extremely rare collector's strain.

The strain exhibits typical indica-dominant characteristics with THC levels around 18% and a mostly indica genetic profile. Black ZZ produces a functional body buzz that starts as a tingle across the face before extending from head to toe with delicate threads of happiness and a calm feeling of well-being, described as deliciously warm, comfortable, and reassuring. The effects are primarily felt throughout the body, unlocking tight muscles and gently extinguishing pain, leading to a strong couch-lock effect.

The strain features a rapid flowering time of 8 weeks indoors, with outdoor growers able to harvest during mid-September.
