Blue Bonnet is a predominantly indica-dominant cannabis strain originally developed by Texas Resin Company's breeder Lonestar and later preserved and distributed by Riot Seeds. Originally created by Texas Resin Company's breeder Lonestar, it is also known as Texas Super Blue. The strain represents what many consider the most superior Blueberry breeding line, known for breeding true to the blueberry candy scent, heavy resin production as well as potency and high terpene content for myrcene. Lonestar & Texas Resin Co's Blue Bonnet was preserved to F3 generation, with Bodhi passing the seeds to Matt Riot to create the F2s.

The strain is derived from Matt's Blueberry cultivar cross of two Blueberry plants that he crosses with everything, making it a stabilized IBL (inbred line) with consistent characteristics. The strain has been bred toward the direction of blueberry muffin terpenes, with the Blue Bonnet male being a broad-leaved Afghani dominant phenotype, which is rare for finding that blueberry muffin smell in the more Afghani dominant specimens in the blue realm. This male not only imparts blueberry muffin terps to crosses but also drastically shortens flowering time and increases sexual stability, making it a valuable breeding tool that has produced 13 direct descendants in breeding programs.
