Blue Licorice is an indica-dominant hybrid cannabis strain developed by Second Generation Genetics through a cross of Jagermeister (clone-only mother) and DJ Short's F4 K45 (father). Blue Licorice descends from the illustrious pairing of Jagermeister and K45, two strains renowned for their robust characteristics, with Jagermeister aka Jager thought to be a unique phenotype of Hindu Kush or possibly a combination of LA Confidential and Blue Dream. The strain's lineage includes DJ Short F4 K45 which is a progression of DJ's Blueberry breeding project that has spanned many decades.

This strain is known for producing heavy yields of pungently dank grape laffy taffy and Jagermeister/licorice/ammonia smelling flowers with hints of Exodus Cheese covered in trichomes. The flowers are often chunky and bulbous with OG like appearances. Blue Licorice exhibits three distinct phenotypic expressions: the "Quimby" expression, an "ammonia cheese" pheno and a "grape licorice" pheno, with the Quimby and grape licorice expressions being heavy producers, while the ammonia cheese expressions were the most resinous but the least productive in terms of flower weight. This limited-production strain was limited to 131 packs in total and will not be reproduced.
