Blue Mazar
Blue Mazar
Also known as: Blue Auto Mazar, ROOR Blue Mazar
Overview
Blue Mazar is the result of crossbreeding Mazar and Blue Widow, creating an indica-dominant hybrid strain featuring 70-80% indica genetics and 20-30% sativa genetics. This strain represents a refined version of classic Afghan genetics, with its origins tracing back to Dutch breeding efforts in the 1980s where an Afghani landrace strain was crossed with Skunk genetics to create the legendary Mazar parent. Blue Mazar's development is particularly associated with Roor Seeds Amsterdam, a breeder known for pioneering exceptional cannabis genetics, though versions also exist from other breeders including Dutch Passion's autoflowering variant.
The strain produces frosty buds that exhibit the characteristic aroma of both parent strains, combining the earthy blueberry scents with subtle notes of spice and pine. Most phenotypes display light green coloration with some exhibiting purple and blue hues, particularly when exposed to cold night temperatures during outdoor cultivation. Blue Mazar grows compact buds covered in a thick, sticky layer of resin with abundant trichomes and high THC content. The strain typically requires 8-9 weeks to flower for photoperiod versions, while autoflowering variants complete their lifecycle in approximately 75 days (10-11 weeks).

Growing Information
Blue Mazar is considered an easy plant to grow that doesn't require special feeding or growth techniques, making it suitable for both novice and experienced growers. Flowering time ranges from 8-9 weeks for photoperiod versions, while autoflowering variants complete in approximately 75 days, reaching a compact medium size of around 30 inches indoors. The strain grows quickly in a wide variety of conditions and can be cultivated both indoors and outdoors, with hybrid vigor ensuring stable, robust plants with large yields of high quality. Expected yields range from 350-450 grams per square meter indoors (1.47-1.82 oz/ft²) or 50-150 grams per plant outdoors. The strain responds well to various training techniques including LST, bending, supercropping, topping, fimming, scrogging, and SOG methods.
