Overview
Blue Ocean is a hybrid cannabis strain created through crossing Blue Dream and Tahoe OG strains. Blue Ocean is classified as a mostly sativa-dominant hybrid, though users report it's genetically about a 60/40 indica dominant hybrid but hits you in the head much more like a sativa. The strain was originally an accidental crossing between Blue Dream and Tahoe OG when a Tahoe OG plant hermied out and pollinated a Blue Dream plant.
Blue Ocean buds have fluffy, grape-shaped emerald-green nugs with thick orange hairs, deep blue leaves and tiny, bright white crystal trichomes. The strain displays awesome frostiness both indoor and outdoor, with some super cool turquoise colors. This bud has a super sweet and fruity blueberry berry flavor with light touches of savory, spicy tobacco. The aroma is almost the same, although it does have added hints of flowery lavender. Users report it tastes like coconut and mango, with an undertone of a somewhat blue dream-esque flavor.

Blue Ocean can be cultivated indoors, outdoors and greenhouse. The flowering time is approximately 60-65 days, though some sources report it finishes in about 70 days. The strain has a medium-heavy yield and average difficulty to grow. It requires a bit more cal-mag than other strains. For optimal growth, it's best to veg for at least 16 hours but 18 is even better, as it may flower unexpectedly with less light. It is not an autoflower but requires more light while in veg similar to some photoperiod strains. Outdoors, Blue Ocean should harvest around October with average height and moderate yield.
