Blue Sonja is a mostly sativa strain developed by GrindHouse Medical Seeds Co. that was named after the breeder's late mother-in-law and originated as a lone female found in a pack of seeds. This strain was derived from BlockHead, a very potent strain from Breeder Steve and his team at Spice Of Life. Blue Sonja represents a unique phenotype that was carefully selected and stabilized through multiple breeding generations, with the breeder creating F2 seed from the original female pollinated with a hardy, aromatic male. The strain exhibits classic sativa characteristics with medium slender leaves and elongated internodes that allow copious amounts of light penetration, while maintaining the dense, hard buds characteristic of its BlockHead heritage. Blue Sonja has been worked through several generations including F2, BX1 (backcross), and F3 generations to stabilize its exceptional qualities and unique cerebral effects.

Growing Information
Blue Sonja can be cultivated indoors and outdoors with a flowering time of approximately 70 days. The strain grows with fair speed and shows sativa heritage with elongated internodes, expecting 2-3 times the stretch so growers should trigger flowering accordingly. Plants typically show sex after the second week, with blooming ramping up around the 7th week when they start putting on weight. Can be grown as multi-branched plants or sea of green, handle plenty of nutrients with little fear, and are hardy and adaptable, though attention at the end is best as buds get quite hard and dense. They can handle heat extremely well while still giving rock hard results. Heavy yields are obtainable with some skill. Never available as feminized seeds.
