Blue Tara is a limited release from Bodhi Seeds that crosses their own two strains, Bubbashine and Snow Lotus. Bubbashine, one of the parent strains, is a cross of Bubba Kush and Blue Moonshine (rare stretch indica pheno), known for its hot buttered blueberry muffin and kush aroma. The father of the line is Snow Lotus male, which is Afgooey x Blockhead, proven to increase potency, frost, and yield while allowing the female's traits to shine through. Genetic studies suggest the strain inherits over 70% indica characteristics, ensuring highly sedative effects typical of traditional indicas. Blue Tara has been celebrated for its unique outdoor resilience and exceptional quality, receiving recognition as one of the Most Outstanding Outdoors in 2021 according to the Marijuana Buyer's Guide. The strain is currently discontinued and doesn't appear to be readily available from dispensaries or online seed banks.
This bud has a sweet and creamy blueberry flavor with an aroma of nutty blueberries and butter to match. The strain has medium growing difficulty with average flowering days of 60 and medium yield. Due to its predominantly indica genetic makeup, the plant exhibits a robust, bushy structure that requires careful topping and regular pruning, with optimal yields achieved when cultivated outdoors during periods with consistent sunlight and moderate temperatures. For indoor growers, maintaining temperatures between 70°F to 80°F (21°C to 27°C) during the day and slightly cooler conditions at night is ideal.
