Some enthusiasts argue that it is a cross between Pink Panties and Super Lemon Haze. Blush is known for its high THC content, averaging around 22%, but can sometimes reach up to 24%. The strain is composed of 60% sativa and 40% indica. However, there are also versions bred by other companies including Pisces Genetics with genetics of Suge Pure Kush x pre 2k Blueberry sativa and Whish Seeds' Blush IBL created from Blue Moonshine X Berlin genetics, released in 2005 and encompassing both Afghani and Thai genetics.

The flowering time for the blush strain averages between 8 to 9 weeks, a typical duration for most cannabis strains. The Whish Seeds version grows best in colder climates, with blue traits enhanced by cooler temperatures. It has a 7-8 week flowering period with above average yields. This strain flowers in 9 to 11 weeks and does well inside and outdoors. Said to be a moderately difficult plant to tackle, they tend to grow to a medium height thus requiring planning ahead of time. The strain is not a good choice for SOG and, being a grassroots sort of plant, favors soil and organic feeding over hydro and excessive chemical nutrients. Powdery mildew should be easily kept at bay but spider mites are a fan of this plant.
