BubbaX is a rare hybrid cannabis strain created by Dman Seeds, developed by crossing the legendary Katsu's Bubba Kush cut (circa 2004) with a raydavies X13 male. The X13 parent is itself a complex hybrid consisting of G13 x Apollo 13 x Thai genetics, creating a unique genetic profile that combines classic indica-dominant Bubba Kush traits with more diverse sativa influences. This strain represents an experimental breeding project that has been used primarily in creating other hybrid crosses rather than being released as a standalone variety. BubbaX was originally created in the early 2000s and was later revived from deep freeze storage, with two select mother plants being chosen to produce F2 generations. The strain has been noted for producing offspring with distinctive pineapple aromas and extreme trichome production, making it particularly valuable for extraction purposes. While never commercially released in pure form, BubbaX has served as a breeding tool in the development of other strains like CBX (UK Cheese x BubbaX).
