Buddha's Sister is an indica-dominant hybrid cannabis strain originating from Amsterdam's Soma Seeds, created as a cross of Afghani, Big Skunk Korean, and Hawaiian Super Skunk. Previously called Soma Skunk V+, this variety was renamed Buddha's Sister to suit her tendencies and advance her appeal to Amsterdam coffeeshops. With a first place finish for Indica during the 2008 IC420 Growers Cup as well as a second-place finish for Best Indica at the 2002 Cannabis Cup, Buddha's Sister offers a powerful effect. This strain is typically 80% indica and 20% sativa, giving it a dominant indica profile with subtle sativa influences. The strain is renowned for its distinctive appearance, featuring dense, resinous buds with excellent trichome coverage and an abundance of sticky resin that makes it ideal for hash production. The deep green and muscular structure of these plants give away their mostly indica heritage, as do the blunt-ended, cherry candy-smelling colas. Buddha's Sister has gained immense popularity in Amsterdam's coffee shop scene and is considered one of the best-selling varieties at De Dampkring.

Buddha's Sister produces medium yields with a flowering time between 63 and 70 days. Buddha's Sister grown indoors can be expected to yield an average of about 17 ounces of bud per square meter planted, while when grown outdoors can yield an average of about 21 ounces per plant cultivated. Flowering time is 9–10 weeks. Stout stacks of calyxes form open-structured flowers that have excellent mold resistance. Yet, they dry into rock-hard nuggets before going in the jar. The strain prefers warm temperatures and high humidity for optimal growth. Buddha's Sister strain is best suited for experienced growers due to its specific requirements.
