Buttercream Gelato is a slightly indica dominant hybrid strain (60% indica/40% sativa) created through crossing the iconic Hindu Kush X Gelato X Durban strains. Breeding Grounds is a project under which Sensi Seeds releases its cutting-edge strains. Its impressive parentage includes Durban, a world-famous sativa; Gelato, which is known for its intense high; and Hindu Kush, a celebrated producer of impressive yields. Gelato is a very special cultivar, and provides an exciting group of genetics for us to work with. Gelato originated in California's Bay Area, and with its unmistakable dessert aroma has become one of today's most famous varieties.
Like its name implies, Buttercream Gelato has a sweet and creamy vanilla buttercream taste with hints of sour, citrusy lemon and spicy hash. The aroma is very similar, although quite a bit heavier, with a spicy hash overtone accented by sour, citrusy lemon and woody pine. This bud has oversized and dense pepper-shaped bright neon green nugs with golden undertones, thin orange hairs and chunky, golden-white crystal trichomes. Buttercream Gelato by Sensi Seeds is easy to grow but it is not too resistant to overfertilization. It seems to be prone to Hermie.

In only 55-75 days of flowering, this plant will produce tons of buds with a woody, citrussy scent and a hint of hash. Buttercream Gelato is an easy strain to grow and will be favourable to new and experienced growers. It is a feminised strain meaning that all the plants will produce flowers. The plant does well indoors and outdoors though indoor cultivation is prefered. Outdoor climates for the strain include warm, sunny and reliable summers. Buttercream Gelato by Sensi Seeds is easy to grow but it is not too resistant to overfertilization. Buttercream Gelato has high resistance against pests, mold, and mildew. The average yield for the Buttercream Gelato variety is 14-17 ounces per square meter. Outdoors you can expect a harvest of up to 24 ounces per plant.
