C5 Haze
C5 Haze
Also known as: Northern Lights #5 x Haze C, NL5 Haze C, C5
Overview
C5 Haze is an old selected cutting of Northern Lights #5 x Haze C and is by far the most influential F1 sativa/indica hybrid of the modern era of cannabis breeding. Created in the Netherlands during the late 1980s by the famous breeder Neville Schoenmakers. NL#5HazeC became popular worldwide for its huge yields, very powerful long-lasting effects and high THC content, unheard of at the time, leading this strain to win many of the early cannabis cups. Developed as a direct cross between the Afghani Northern Lights # 5 and the Haze C male, this vintage C5 cutting includes the indica and sativa parents (respectively) that have had the most impact on strain development in the last 35 years, also forming the main parental line of the best Dutch Haze hybrids of the '90s.
C5 Haze exhibits an aesthetic that immediately signals its high-level genetics and expert cultivation. The buds are dense and are decorated with a generous coating of trichomes, making them shimmer with a silvery hue. C5 Haze's genetic lineage is predominantly sativa, making it a perfect choice for daytime activities and creative endeavors. One the first nl5/haze hybrids from the southern Netherlands (zeeland, brabant), this strain represents a milestone in cannabis breeding history that bridged the gap between pure sativa landrace strains and modern indoor cultivation techniques.

Growing Information
C5 Haze Bx is a preservation and reconstruction of one of the earliest Dutch haze hybrids. It expresses the long-flowering, high-vigor characteristics typical of 1980s sativa breeding. Flowering: 12–18 Weeks Stretch: High Plant Size: Tall, Open Sativa Structure Yield: Moderate to High (long, narrow flower formations) Difficulty: Advanced Best suited for warm climates, greenhouses, or controlled indoor environments with strong light intensity and stable photoperiods. This cultivar is primarily for breeders and haze specialists who want to work with a near-pure haze expression rather than a production hybrid. Thanks to its sativa heritage, Northern Lights #5 x Haze plants can grow extremely tall. This is particularly the case when cultivated outdoors. In fact, in optimum conditions outside, it's not uncommon for the plants to soar as high as 250 to 300 cm. Indoor heights typically reach 120-170 cm. Plants require consistent light, low nitrogen feeding, and balanced soil pH for optimal results.
