Overview
Cassis Automatic is a 70% indica cannabis strain created by Sensi Seeds Breeding Grounds in collaboration with Champelli. This autoflowering hybrid was developed by crossing Champelli's classic Cassis (a mix of Gusher Pie and Gelatti) with Ruderalis Indica to create the autoflowering version. The original Cassis strain became an instant favorite in Californian dispensaries but had previously only been available as flowers, making this seed release significant. The name 'Cassis' is the French word for blackcurrants and refers to a French dark red liquor made from blackcurrants that originated in Burgundy. The strain produces very compact plants capable of generating high yields, making it ideal for indoor growers with limited space while maintaining dense, robust growth characteristics. As a feminized autoflowering strain, Cassis Automatic flowers regardless of light cycle, making it particularly beginner-friendly for cultivation.

Indoor cultivation typically yields plants reaching 40-80 cm in height with production of up to 250-300 grams per square meter. Outdoor growing results in plants unlikely to exceed 45-100 cm tall but can produce 150-175 grams per plant. Flowering period is approximately 60-65 days from germination. As an autoflowering strain, Cassis Auto is easy to grow but isn't particularly suited for advanced growing techniques. Plants exhibit tight internodal spacing, thick robust lateral branches, dense vegetation, and bushy growth that is easily manageable with attention. The flowers are dense and resinous with vivid dark purple hues (especially pronounced in cooler climates), featuring typical indica characteristics with conical shape and thick trichome layer.
