Cheddar Cheese
Cheddar Cheese
Also known as: Cheddar Cheeze
Overview
Cheddar Cheese is a rare and somewhat confusing strain in the cannabis world, with multiple versions existing from different breeders. The documented version appears to have a balanced 50:50 ratio of sativa to indica genetics. It is purportedly descended from Skunk #1 and an original Afghani strain, making it a close cousin of the original UK Cheese. However, there is also a modern version from Phylos Bioscience made from a genetic cross of (CakeMints x Platinum GSC) x Gorilla Diesel #3. This strain is found mostly in its home country and is considered a local specialty that isn't common elsewhere, with some confusion as original Cheese may be mislabeled as Cheddar Cheese. Like its UK Cheese cousin, Cheddar Cheese has a sharp, skunky cheese aroma and flavor, with buds displaying a light green appearance with dark orange hairs and a thick layer of glistening trichomes.

Growing Information
This mostly indica strain from Amsterdam Finest Seeds can be cultivated indoors, outdoors and greenhouse with plants needing a flowering time of approximately 65 days. Based on grower reports, flowering time is around 60-62 days which aligns with breeder specifications. As far as plant management goes, it is very middle of the road with moderate stretch, moderate branching, and only moderate labor needs for trimming/training. It's suitable for low or high density plantings and single- or multi-tiered systems. It's described as a highly stress tolerant and vigorous growing variety with excellent stacking on primary colas and lower bud development, resulting in high A:B ratios and very little larf. The strain appears to be relatively easy to grow for both novice and experienced cultivators.
