Overview
Chernobyl F2 is a second-generation evolution of the legendary Chernobyl strain, created by crossing the original Chernobyl with a reversed cut of Slymer (also known as Golden Ticket). This sativa-dominant hybrid (approximately 60% sativa, 40% indica) was developed by SubCool's The Dank (formerly TGA Genetics) as a passion project to restore the greasy resin production and distinctive Pine-Sol funk that was rarely seen in the original F1 Chernobyl generation. The strain combines the vigorous growth, heavy yields, and potency of the original Chernobyl with the exceptional terpene profile and resin production of the Slymer genetics. The original Chernobyl was created by breeder SubCool after an extensive quest for the perfect Trainwreck cutting, ultimately crossing it with Jack the Ripper and Trinity to create a strain that would become one of his most popular varieties. Chernobyl F2 produces lime-green buds with explosive trichome coverage and exhibits phenotypes ranging from citrus-dominant expressions to Pine-Sol-heavy variants. The strain is known for its distinctive appearance with olive green tones, electric orange pistils, and a heavy coating of powdery white trichomes. This modern iteration maintains the energizing, euphoric effects of its predecessor while adding enhanced resin production and more pronounced aromatic qualities.
