Cherry Bomb
Cherry Bomb
Also known as: Cherry Bomb V2
Overview
Cherry Bomb is a hybrid strain that combines the genetics of Hawaiian sativa and North American indica strains, resulting in an evenly-balanced high. A popular variant of this strain crosses a California indica (most likely with some Skunk lineage) and a Hawaiian sativa from the breeders at Barney's Farms. The strain debuted on the cannabis scene in the 1970s, undergoing tweaks and improvements in the decades since. The fern green buds have light tan/orange pistils with golden peach fuzz hairs & trichomes. Cherry Bomb has true bag appeal, wowing buyers with its medium to large-sized flowers. The buds have a seemingly hybridized structure, dense and compact at their center like many indicas, but with fluffy, loose leaves that seem more characteristic of sativa varieties. Multiple breeders have created versions of this strain, including Bomb Seeds, which crossed its Big Bomb with a fruity mother, and more recently B-Real's 'Insane' brand which released a strain named Cherry Bomb, that's a Zkittlez x Cherry Pie cross.

Growing Information
Flowering lasts 9–10 weeks indoors, and the strain can be grown indoors or outdoors, but it thrives in hot, sunny climates outside. The mostly indica hybrid grows to a medium height and flowers in eight to 10 weeks. Indoor growers can expect yields of up to 23 ounces per square meter, while outdoor growers with ample space can anticipate yields of about 26 ounces from a single plant. For indoor growth, maintain proper temperature and humidity levels, and provide ample light exposure with a high-quality LED or HID lighting system. This strain responds especially well to techniques such as low-stress training (LST), topping, and Screen of Green (ScrOG). While this balanced hybrid is best suited to intermediate growers, it is generally considered easy to grow with high yields for pro and amateur farmers alike.
