Overview
Ciskei is a 100% pure sativa strain that is native to the regions of South Africa, specifically grown in small plots of familiar use in the mountain region of Drakensberg, at an altitude around 1500-2000 meters (4900-6500 feet). The strain was named after one of the 10 "bantustans" (independent regions inside South African territory) that was declared independent from 1981-1994 during the years of apartheid. Seeds were imported and selected by a Swiss company (Herbaria), that made massive selections and works, ending their activity in the 90s because of prohibitionist laws.
After a five-generation inbreeding project, the resulting plant brings an uplifting and happy high. Very homogeneous with a medium final size that makes it a perfect choice for both indoor and outdoors. Ciskei buds have fat spade-shaped fluffy bright neon green nugs with lots of thin red-orange hairs and a coating of tiny golden-white crystal trichomes. The flavours can vary from tart green apple and piney, to more citric and sweet. A fast flowering one, forming hard buds with a high calyx to leaf ratio.
