Color of Space, sometimes stylized as Colour of Space, is an evenly balanced hybrid strain (50% indica/50% sativa) developed by In House Genetics in collaboration with House_A_Heat. Created through crossing Slurricane and Platinum Kush Breath No.5 (also known as Snow White cut), this strain emerged from the late-2010s wave of dessert-gas hybrids that fused purple anthocyanin expression with modern potency. The strain name pays clear homage to H.P. Lovecraft's "The Colour Out of Space," and many growers lean into that cosmic branding with dark, iridescent buds and nebula-inspired packaging. By 2021, the name began appearing on West Coast menus and in Pacific Northwest clone exchanges, with steady expansion to the Great Lakes and Northeast markets by 2023. The strain is celebrated for its stunning visual appearance, featuring beautifully long, grape-shaped olive green nuggets with lots of thick, furry orange hairs and a frosty coating of milky, amber-tinted white crystal trichomes. Her stellar colors develop during cold temperatures late in flowering, showcasing excellent humidity resistance. The light to dark green flowers are intermixed with deep purple hues and vivid orange hairs, dusted with a heavy coating of white trichomes that create an unforgettable bag appeal.
