Columbian Haze
Columbian Haze
Also known as: Colombian Haze, Colombian Red Haze
Overview
Columbian Haze is generally described as a sativa-dominant hybrid, commonly 85 to 95 percent sativa by phenotype expression. The most cited lineage is Colombian Gold crossed with Haze, a combination that orients the strain toward longer internodes, airy colas, and brisk, uplifting psychoactivity. This strain carries forward the legendary heritage of both Colombian Gold, Thai, Acapulco Gold, and Indian strains that defined the original Haze genetics developed by the Haze Brothers in Santa Cruz, California during the 1970s.
The strain exhibits typical sativa characteristics with fat grape-shaped forest green nugs with minty undertones, thin orange hairs and a coating of tiny white crystal trichomes. The buds are typically dense and elongated, characteristic of sativa strains, with a rich, forest green hue that is accentuated by vibrant orange pistils. Under close observation, the leaves of Columbian Haze exhibit finely serrated edges and an almost ethereal translucency when caught in sunlight. The structure of the buds is airy yet compact, a feature that hints at the strain's energetic nature and quality resin production.
Columbian Haze has gained recognition for its authentic representation of classic Haze genetics. Whether you know it from old-school legends or a recent dispensary jar, Columbian Haze stands at the intersection of heritage genetics and modern potency. Multiple breeders including Zenseeds, Brazilian Seed Company, and Antenna Seeds have developed their own versions, each maintaining the strain's core characteristics while adding subtle variations.

Growing Information
The flowering period for Columbian Haze typically spans 10 to 12 weeks, which aligns with the extended flowering times of many sativa strains. Growers should plan for a robust vegetative phase of 4 to 6 weeks to allow the plants to achieve sufficient height and structure. Expect Colombian haze weed seeds to yield up to 400-450grams (12 Oz) per sq meter for indoor and 400 – 450 grams (14 Oz) per outdoor plant cultivation with the right growing conditions, though Data from multiple grow reports suggest yields can range from 400 to 600 grams per square meter under optimal conditions. The plant's sativa lineage demands ample space for vertical growth, and experienced cultivators often report that some plants may reach heights of up to 2.5 to 3 meters when grown outdoors. From a technical standpoint, growers should aim for a warm, sunny climate when cultivating outdoors, with temperatures ideally ranging between 25°C to 32°C (77°F to 90°F). Such conditions encourage optimal growth and maximize resin production. Indoor growers benefit from a well-ventilated grow room with controlled humidity levels between 40% and 50% during the flowering stage. The colombianske Haze is an exceptionel "Supersativa", it´s very easy unlike other Haze-sorts. it´s fast and relativ easy to breed according to Zenseeds' description. Training techniques like topping and LST are highly recommended to manage height and increase yields.
