Overview
Cosmic Queen is an autoflowering F-4 hybrid created by crossing SpaceDawg and Chemdogging, bred by the renowned Mephisto Genetics. This strain is sativa-dominant, containing approximately 70% sativa genetics. Developed as part of an extensive multi-year breeding project by Mephisto Genetics, Cosmic Queen emerged as one of their most popular strains and helped revolutionize sativa-dominant autoflowering cannabis genetics. The strain's genesis began in 2012 when Mephisto's breeders first encountered TGA Subcool's Space Dawg, which featured a "ceilingless high" and unique effects including sharp visual focus, waves of energy and euphoria, mental acuity, and ending with giggles and munchies. After years of careful selection and breeding work, the F2 generation showed strong phenotypic variety, with only one auto female out of 47 plants displaying all the desired Space Dawg traits with enhanced frost coverage. Visually, Cosmic Queen produces oversized, conical and airy emerald-green buds with thick red-orange hairs, vibrant purple leaves, and a frosty coating of chunky, purple-tinted white crystal trichomes.

Cosmic Queen has a medium to large bushy structure with lots of strong lateral branches and thin sativa leaves, making it easy to grow and ideal for training. Plants typically reach a final height of 60-100 cm. The flowering time is 65-75 days from seed (10-11 weeks total), with expected yields of 60-120 grams per plant under good conditions. Light support is recommended as buds increase in mass, and frost levels appear quite early, spreading to the whole plant. The strain demonstrates best results when grown indoors or in greenhouses. While sativa-dominant, she grows bushy and benefits from light defoliation for better light penetration. Recommended growing parameters include maximum EC of 1.2 in veg (up to 1.6 during flower) and water pH of 5.8-6.0.
