Critical Purple Kush was created by Advanced Seeds through crossing Critical with Purple OG (also referred to as Purple OG Kush). This hybrid strain is 40% Sativa and 60% Indica, though some sources describe it as 90/10 Indica-dominant. The strain emerged as a modern cannabis variety designed to combine the productive characteristics of Critical genetics with the striking purple coloration and potent effects of Purple OG lineage.
The buds are visually striking with oversized dark olive green nugs featuring bright purple leaves, dark amber hairs, and a coating of dark amber colored crystal trichomes that can have a slight purple tinge. This strain is noted for its purple, even black hues that form towards the end of flowering, with colors varying from dark green to purple without requiring low temperatures.
