Dancehall
Dancehall
Also known as: Dancehall 20, Mapetit
Overview
Dancehall is a 60% sativa-dominant hybrid cannabis strain bred by Reggae Seeds through crossing Juanita La Lagrimosa (a Mexican-Afghani-Spanish hybrid) with Kalijah (Blue Heaven crossed with a Mexican-Afghani hybrid). Named after a style of Reggae played in times of celebration, Dancehall will lift your spirits to a happier place where creativity and social bonding thrive. This strain features an insanely high CBD level of 15.85% on average with THC levels below 1%, though some phenotypes can reach higher THC levels up to 15%.
As its flowers mature, vibrant shades of green, blue, purple, and red twist underneath crystal trichomes while bright neon green spade-shaped buds display bright gold hairs and a frosty thick coating of golden crystal trichomes. The flavor is super sweet in nature with hints of fruity pineapple and a slight touch of diesel, while the aroma is very tropical and sweet with a tinge of diesel and earthiness. Although relatively a new strain, it has already gained the reputation of being a high-caliber weed as evidenced by its winning the indoor bio category of the Spannabis Cup back in 2010.

Growing Information
Dancehall thrives whether grown indoors or outdoors, preferring an environment with low humidity such as that found in a dry climate. The plant is prone to botrytis (gray fungus), usually a problem that occurs if humidity levels are too high. Flowering time is 8-10 weeks (60-70 days) with yields of 10-12 ounces indoors (300-350g per square meter) and up to 350g per plant outdoors. Best grown by intermediate-level cannabis growers, plants thrive indoors and outdoors but have an easier time growing indoors due to complete climate control. Indoor growers should replicate a Mediterranean-like climate with temperatures around 70-80°F with slightly cooler nights.
