Dessert Isle is an autoflowering hybrid cannabis strain created by Night Owl Seeds, the side project of renowned breeder Daz (formerly of Mephisto Genetics). Released in February 2022 as part of the Secret Owl Society line, this strain represents a complex three-way cross of (Toof Decay x Tyrone Stomper) x Mango Isle. The breeding process began in 2015 when Daz selected a special yellow birthday cake-scented phenotype of Toof Decay to cross with his F1 Tyrone Stomper photoperiod male. After extensive phenotype hunting, one particular expression was chosen for its stretchier growth pattern, better resin coverage, and superior resistance to bud rot compared to pure Toof Decay. This selected phenotype was then crossed with Mango Isle to create the final Dessert Isle cultivar. The strain is known for its exceptional resin production inherited from the Tyrone Stomper lineage, combined with distinctive vanilla frosting and birthday cake aromatics from the Toof Decay genetics, enhanced by citrus notes from the Mango Isle contribution. As an autoflowering variety, it completes its life cycle from seed to harvest without requiring photoperiod manipulation, making it suitable for both novice and experienced growers seeking premium genetics in a convenient format.
