The original Dosidos is a hybrid created by crossing the indica-dominant Girl Scout Cookies with the indica-dominant Face Off OG. The autoflowering version was developed by breeders to incorporate the genetics of Ruderalis, which allows the plant to flower automatically based on age rather than light cycles. This adaptation makes it suitable for growers in various climates and simplifies cultivation for beginners. The strain gained popularity in the 2010s, particularly in the United States, where its potent effects and distinctive flavor profile have made it a favorite among both recreational and medicinal users.

Dosidos Auto plants are typically compact and bushy, reaching heights of 60–100 cm (24–40 inches) when grown indoors, with outdoor plants sometimes taller under ideal conditions.
