Euphoria Strain Overview

Euphoria, also known as Euforia, is an award-winning sativa-dominant hybrid cannabis strain developed by Dutch Passion in Amsterdam during the mid-1990s as part of their Skunk breeding program. This strain was bred from various Skunk #1 hybrid strains and first emerged in 1996, gaining recognition in the early 2000s. The strain has collected numerous prestigious awards including 2nd place in the sativa category at the 2000 High Times Cannabis Cup and the Best Seeds HighLife Cup in 2002.

The strain is characterized by its complex terpene profile with fruity notes of citrus and pine, but with woody notes also present in some phenotypes. The buds display a forest green color and often have purple and/or blue highlights, with vibrant orange hairs and a thick coating of white trichomes. Despite having Skunk parents, the aroma is sweeter and more floral than skunky, though both aroma and taste are very skunky with high THC levels around 20%.

Euphoria is incredibly strong and robust, capable of being grown in many different conditions with substantial yields of 400-600g/m². The strain has maintained its popularity for over 25 years, remaining a bestseller due to its clear, energetic and euphoric high that gives the strain its name. Medical growers from the 1990s to the current day have praised its effectiveness for pain relief and particularly for stress relief.

Euphoria Strain Growing Information

Euphoria is considered an easy-to-grow strain suitable for both beginners and experienced cultivators. The strain has an average flowering time of 8-9 weeks, though some phenotypes may complete flowering in 54-63 days. Plants reach manageable heights of 60-100cm indoors and 100-140cm outdoors, producing generous yields up to 450-500 g/m² indoors. The strain can stretch considerably during flowering and is suitable for both SOG and SCROG growing methods, with short to medium internode distance. Outdoors in Mediterranean climates, plants average 2-3 meters high and are ready for harvest in early to mid-October. Novice growers should start gradually with nutrients as sativa strains generally don't like strong feeding, especially in early stages. Support is recommended toward the end of flowering due to long, heavy buds, with flowers as long as your arm being common.
