EWOK is an indica-dominant hybrid (60% indica / 40% sativa) cannabis strain bred by Alien Genetics, created from a cross between Albert Walker female and Tahoe Alien male. The Albert Walker component is a tightly held cut from the Pacific Northwest, believed to be from Afghani lineage, possibly Afghani Skunk. This strain won the Hybrid of the Year award at the Seattle High Times Cannabis Cup in 2013, establishing its reputation in the cannabis community.
Physically, EWOK derives its name from the plethora of curling red pistils found on its deep forest green buds, being just as "hairy" as the Ewoks of Star Wars. Buds are dense and compact, often displaying a rich forest green color interspersed with deep purple hues under the right lighting conditions. The strain was bred to hold onto its huge yield potential while introducing OG & Alien funk/potency to an old proven favorite, resulting in tighter nugs with more weight and a step up in potency.
