F.O.G. (Fruit of the Gods) Strain Overview

F.O.G., standing for Fruit of the Gods, is a mostly-Sativa hybrid named by Harry of Delta 9 Labs. The strain earned its name in 2006 at the Cannabis Cup because of the thick clouds of smoke users produced on exhale. To create this delectable floral and haze-flavored strain, Delta-9 Labs spent three and a half years carefully crossing a female Northern Lights 5 Haze and a male Skunk #1, both of which came from Sensi Seeds. The strain comes from an old NL5 haze phenotype that was around Amsterdam in the late nineties. It was crossed with a Skunk #1 father that came from seeds made in 1988! This phenotype was amazing, a fruity haze that under the right conditions becomes a beautiful deep purple color.

The strain displays oversized, spade-shaped bright neon green nugs with deep purple undertones, thick dark orange hairs and a frosty coating of dark, amber-tinted white crystal trichomes. The strain is mostly a sativa but still has a touch of indica in it from the Northern Lights. Even though it was a mostly sativa with strong haze elements coming from its mom, the legendary NL5 Haze, it had an incredibly fruity taste. Despite its name suggesting mental fogginess, F.O.G.'s name does not reflect the effect it has on the mind as users often feel clear-headed and alert.

F.O.G. (Fruit of the Gods) Strain Growing Information

F.O.G. is an mostly sativa from Delta 9 Labs and can be cultivated indoors and outdoors (Where the plants will need a flowering time of ±72 days). Indoor in a controllable flowering environment for 9.5 - 11 weeks to complete flowering cycle. The average flowering time is between 9.5-11 weeks depending if grown in soil or through hydro methods. Can be grown outdoor or indoor, however outdoor warmer climates result in 25-50% higher yield. This variety has an a great yield even when kept short and grown in the small spaces. An average room size with proper ventilation and lighting will give you a minimum of 30-50 grams per plant with the plant being no taller than 1.0 meter. It tends to stretch a bit but likes to have a lot of space as it can get to over 1.5 meters tall. This strain however will have increased yield and perhaps a shorter flowering time if grown hydroponically. Considered intermediate difficulty due to longer flowering time and specific nutrient requirements.
