Freezeland IBL
Freezeland IBL
Also known as: Freeze Land, Friesland, M33
Freezeland IBL Strain Overview
Freezeland IBL is based on the Friesland clone from Quebec, originally from the Super Sativa Seed Club (SSSC). This cut was hit with a Pluton male, then backcrossed to the Friesland cut twice (freeze bx2) which has been inbred and worked with ever since. This legendary strain goes back to the early days of the SSSC in the 1980s and is the result of extensive outdoor selective breeding in the cold and damp area of the Friesland region in the North of The Netherlands. Friesland Indica (aka M33) was developed to produce huge plants with lots of side-branches which carry a load of smelly, stinky buds.
Freezeland IBL is very easy to get freeze types with great yield of solid buds able to withstand terrible weather conditions, making it a true workhorse strain for northern growers. Plants display pink hairs, lots of frost and smells ranging from pine to citrus/fruit, with a fast finishing time. This makes it one of the most popular outdoor strains in Canada, valued by legacy growers for finishing by mid-to-late September at roughly 45-48°N latitude. Freezeland IBL is mostly indica and can be cultivated indoors, outdoors and greenhouse with plants requiring approximately 56 days flowering time. The strain has been preserved and refined by multiple breeders including Bush Brothers Seeds, AK Bean Brains, and Real Gorilla Seeds, ensuring its continued availability for cannabis cultivators.
