The strain was created through selective breeding of a mutant early flowering Granddaddy Purple male with Purple Prozac and Blackberry Kush, with multiple generations selected specifically for early flowering phenotypes. This unique strain shines in its ability to flower earlier than most standard photoperiod strains, with a harvest window at the end of August through early September in the northern hemisphere. Named for its icy flavor and appearance, Frostberry produces tight, rounded bright neon green nugs with thin orange hairs, beautiful blue undertones, and a thick coating of tiny blue-tinted white crystal trichomes. The strain features enhanced resin production and terpene synthesis, with records indicating up to 24% more trichome density compared to its parent strains.
