Garanimals
Garanimals
Also known as: Granimals, Grape Animals
Overview
Garanimals is an indica-dominant hybrid cannabis strain created by Cannarado Genetics, a well-known Colorado-based breeder, through crossing Grape Pie and Animal Cookies. The strain is typically classified as 70% indica/30% sativa or 75% indica/25% sativa, representing the careful fusion of two respected cultivars with impressive lineages. The genetic ancestry extends deep into cannabis history, including Hindu Kush, Durban Poison, Cherry Pie, and Granddaddy Purple, contributing to its complex profile and potent effects.
Visually, Garanimals produces fluffy spade-shaped dark green buds with dark purple undertones, vivid orange hairs, and a generous coating of purple-tinted white crystal trichomes. The trichome layer gives the flowers a distinctive purple-silver shine under high-powered grow lights, making it visually striking. The dense, spade-shaped indica buds have enough frosting to make them appear as though they've been lying in snow. With THC levels ranging from 27-29% on average, this strain is recognized for its exceptional potency and well-balanced effects that combine the best attributes of both parent strains.

Growing Information
Garanimals has a flowering time of approximately 60-63 days, making it relatively quick to harvest. Expected yields are roughly 14 ounces per square foot both indoors and outdoors, though some growers report yields of up to 400 grams per square meter indoors and 400 grams per plant outdoors. Plants typically grow to a modest height of 0-4 feet, making them suitable for indoor cultivation and discreet growing. The strain thrives in sunny, hot, and dry environments with nutrient-rich soil. Indoor cultivation requires temperate conditions with plenty of ventilation and low humidity. Training techniques such as Screen of Green (ScrOG), Sea of Green (SOG), and low-stress training are recommended to maximize yields. This strain is not recommended for beginner growers and requires experience with cannabis cultivation.
