Garnett Silk is a mostly indica cannabis strain developed by Alight For Health/Alight Farms through the crossing of (OGOG Jaro X Jaro #1 male) from Freeborn Selections with a select male from Koffee F6 by Pacific Northwest Roots. Both parent genetics came as gifts to Alight through connections made during episode #25 of the In The Trees Podcast titled 'Choosing Sungrown Genetics', and the strain was bred outdoors in the summer of 2021. The result is described as a great marriage of bud and plant structure with an amazing terpene profile featuring OG fuel, earth, and anise notes.

The strain exhibits varied phenotypic expressions based on its dual parentage. Phenotypes that are extremely vigorous with longer internode spacing and smaller golf ball-sized flower sets lean toward the Jaro lineage. The Koffee influence produces more squat structures that are very hardy with strong stalks and giant fan leaves, contributing a beautiful earthy/fuel scent. Most phenotypes noted in test runs and grower feedback demonstrate a balanced expression of both parental traits. The Jaro lineage traces back to Sour Diesel crossed with Hollywood Pure Kush x (Black Afghani x Hindu Kush), while the Koffee parent derives from Alien Kush x Alien Tech genetics that were developed through multiple generations of selection.
