The parent strain Gelonade is a cross of the Lemon Tree and Gelato 41, with top reported aromas of maple syrup, lemon, and pepper, and is said to taste of blueberries, cookies, and citrus. The Slapz parent came from a cross between Runtz and Grease Monkey, is highly potent and mostly indica, with some consumers reporting it produces a heavy diesel pine taste and has a pungent piney smell.
Gellyz presents as approximately 50% Indica, 50% Sativa with dense, flavorful nugs that exhibit phenotypic variation. The commercial production strains are the darker purple phenotypes with more pronounced lemon candy gas profiles, while green phenotypes still have abundant flavor with lemon candy selections showing hints of kush and diesel, and other selections displaying notes of pine and chocolate/earth.
