Genius Strain Overview
Genius is a rare evenly balanced hybrid strain (50% indica/50% sativa) created as a phenotype of the infamous Jack Herer strain discovered by the famed Brothers Grimm cannabis breeders. The Brothers Grimm found seeds in a bag of Jack Herer bud while visiting an Amsterdam coffeeshop, took the seeds home with them and grew them, resulting in the famous Genius strain and the even more famous Cinderella 99. Genius is the name given to a Haze phenotype from the Jack Herer plant, called Genius because of the strong introspective type of high. This strain is considered one of the parent genetics for several notable offspring including Apollo 11 and Apollo 13. Genius buds have spade-shaped airy forest green nugs with lots of thin orange hairs and a coating of frosty tiny amber crystal trichomes. The strain has gained legendary status among cannabis enthusiasts for its potent cerebral effects and complex flavor profile, though it remains quite rare and difficult to find in seed form.

Genius Strain Growing Information
Genius is relatively easy to grow and can be grown indoors, outdoors, or in a greenhouse. The flowering period is around 8-10 weeks when grown indoors, taking around 7-10 weeks to flower. This strain has an 8 week flowering time but is not the best producer in terms of yield. Genius is relatively resistant to mold and mildew and doesn't require a great deal of maintenance. Genius doesn't need as much nitrogen as other marijuana plants. Genius' most easily seen characteristic is angular branching, with each node bending at almost 90 degrees. However, it is generally hard to find Genius seeds, making it a rare strain for cultivation.
